The sequel to Tribes, the multiplayer-only team based online futuristic
robot shooter. This sequel contains everything the first did and even
more. Also this time you can battle with your powered armors using
several weapons and vehicles, like buggies and planes. Tribes 2 simply
shines in the multiplayer team conflicts for which it was designed, and
the tactical possibilities are nearly endless. Players can hop into
vehicles, as a pilot skims over the planet’s surface and threads narrow
canyons while team members in the back blast enemies as they whip by.
Miles of varying terrain separate each team’s base, yet the transitions
from outdoors to indoors are entirely seamless, regardless of an
installation’s complexity. There are endless weapon load outs and armor
combinations from which to choose, and equipment, such as targeting
lasers and deployable defense turrets, really add to the game’s depth.
For example, a player in light scout armor can quickly move to within
range of an outpost, then illuminate it with the targeting laser for
his heavily armed buddies crouching behind a hill. These heavies can
fire their mobile mortars in complete safety with the knowledge that
the laser will guide the rounds on target. This is just one example of
the need for teamwork in Tribes 2.
Graphically, Tribes 2 leaves a little to be desired in terms of
detail, but the massive environments more than compensate for that
shortcoming. It sometimes is possible to see enemies approaching from a
few miles away, and those foolish enough to silhouette themselves on a
ridgeline are soon dispatched by an enemy laser sniper they’ll probably
never see. The special effects are excellent, and there are few
shooters on the market that can match the intensity Tribes 2 reaches
when dozens of players are fighting all at once.

The Gladiators: Galactic Circus Games isn't really my piece of pie,
those that have been looking for a faster paced real-time strategy game
might enjoy it. Serious strategy gamers will probably be a bit
disappointed with the heavily scripted AI and fairly linear tracks to

The lack of presentation polish isn't going to
impress anyone, yet the bright graphical style will perk some eyes up a
bit. This is a pretty hit and miss title that could have used a

players journey is tied into a believable and dramatic storyline set in

The 220-square-kilometer island of Skira, located off the eastern
coast of Russia, north of Japan, is an oil-rich Russian-controlled
island that stands on the brink of war. An airborne division of the PLA
lands to claim the island as the sovereign possession of the Peoples
Republic. Russia turns to the US for support aid and theyre quick to
respond. Sending in the USS Iwo Jima, an expeditionary force of US
Marines launch an assault on the strung out, but dug-in Chinese force.
Can the situation be defused before this flashpoint turns white hot and
an all-out global war between the superpowers erupts?
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is an open-world tactical
shooter designed to realistically represent modern infantry combat. In
it players will utilize the game’s Quick Command radial menu to dole
out commands to their unit. These commands include directives like
ordering them to stay put, to follow you, to fire at will or only after
your lead, and to assemble into various tactical formations. With a
wealth of weapons and vehicles available, engagements can play out very
differently depending on tactics and the pros and cons of chosen
armaments. The game features set missions as well as quick fight, fire
team engagement and several multiplayer modes for varied gameplay.
Another prominent and realistic gameplay consideration is its extensive
and persistent damage model. This relates both to the environment and
